Omega Auctions' latest sale produced a number of standout results across rare concert posters, autographs, music memorabilia, clothing, presentation awards and collectable vinyl.
Among the strongest prices were exceptional pieces relating to Led Zeppelin, Nick Drake, The Beatles, Black Sabbath, New York Dolls, The Rolling Stones, Björk and Kate Bush, with several lots selling substantially above their pre-sale estimates.
Rare 1968 Led Zeppelin Concert Poster Sells for £10,000
Leading the auction was a remarkably rare original poster advertising a planned Yardbirds performance at Ewell Tech on 2 November 1968.
The Yardbirds broke up before the concert took place, with the newly formed Led Zeppelin appearing in their place. The performance is believed to have been in front of an audience of only around 150–200 people, making the poster an exceptional document from the very earliest days of the band.

Rare Nick Drake Ewell Tech Poster Realises £8,000
An original January 1970 concert poster featuring Nick Drake, Genesis and Atomic Rooster also attracted strong bidding.
Featuring striking artwork by David Arnott, the poster is believed to be exceptionally rare and potentially unique.

Fully Signed Beatles Autograph Book Sells for £6,600
A vintage autograph book containing a fully signed Beatles page achieved £6,600.
The page was signed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr and included the inscription “All the best from the Beatles”, written by Lennon. The signatures had been authenticated by Roger Epperson prior to the sale.

Black Sabbath 1970 Concert Poster Reaches £5,100
Another important Ewell Tech poster produced one of the strongest results of the sale.
The original May 1970 poster advertised Black Sabbath and Mobius and featured a distinctive David Arnott design incorporating an image of Max Schreck.

New York Dolls Biba Poster Sells for £3,500
A rare original poster advertising the New York Dolls' 1973 performances at Biba's Rainbow Room in London sold for £3,500.
The concerts are closely associated with the development of the UK punk scene, with figures including David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Paul McCartney reportedly among those attending.

Keith Richards Signed Fender Telecaster Makes £3,200
A 2013 Fender Road Worn Telecaster signed by Keith Richards realised £3,200.
The guitar was signed to the body and inscribed “One Love”.

Björk Clothing Collections Soar Above Estimate
Two collections of original Björk promotional clothing produced some of the most striking results relative to estimate.
One group of four T-shirts sold for £3,100 against an estimate of £80–£120, while a second group including Post and Debut promotional clothing realised £3,000 against the same estimate.

Kate Bush 1979 Lionheart Tour Clothing Sells for £3,000
Original merchandise from Kate Bush's 1979 Lionheart Tour was another area of particularly strong interest.
A collection including an original tour T-shirt, sweatshirt and rare promoter jacket sold for £3,000, while a second similar group realised £2,800.

Rainbow & Dio Presentation Awards Realise £3,000
A group of three presentation awards relating to Rainbow and Dio achieved £3,000.
The collection included an Australian platinum ARIA award, a German presentation award and an American RIAA gold award.

Other notable results included a fully signed Queen Hyde Park display at £2,700, a Nick Drake 1970 concert poster at £2,600, a signed Kate Bush Before the Dawn display at £2,400, and a collection of Barclay James Harvest German gold presentation awards at £1,700.
Across the auction, strong bidding was seen for original concert posters, artist clothing, autographs, presentation awards and rare music memorabilia, with several lots achieving multiples of their pre-sale estimates.
