Omega Auctions' latest dedicated Beatles Collection sale produced a series of strong results for rare autographs, records, acetates, photographs and unique pieces of Beatles history.
The sale was led by an extraordinary multi-signed copy of The Beatles White Album at £11,000 and a rare original John Lennon photograph by Paul Goresh at £7,000.
Multi-Signed Beatles White Album Sells for £11,000
Leading the auction was an exceptional copy of The Beatles' White Album, signed across the gatefold sleeve by an extraordinary collection of figures connected with the band's history.
Signatures included Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, alongside George Martin, Neil Aspinall, Astrid Kirchherr, Pete Best, Yoko Ono, Sean Lennon, Jimmie Nicol, Alistair Taylor, Tony Bramwell, Alan Williams and others.
The vendor had worked on the first Beatles Anthology project during the 1990s, with the lot also including his personalised project jacket.

Rare John Lennon Paul Goresh Photograph Realises £7,000
An exceptionally rare vintage print of one of the final photographs of John Lennon achieved £7,000.
Taken by photographer Paul Goresh, the image depicts Lennon signing a copy of Double Fantasy outside The Dakota in New York on 8 December 1980.
The 8 x 10 inch vintage print was produced from Goresh's original negative and was accompanied by detailed provenance relating to its production in 1981.

Fully Signed 1963 Beatles Autograph Display Sells for £5,500
A framed display containing a page signed by John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr sold for £5,500.
The signatures related to The Beatles' spring 1963 tour with Chris Montez and Tommy Roe and had been authenticated prior to the sale.

Fully Signed Beatles Page Reaches £5,000
Another complete set of Beatles autographs attracted strong bidding, with a page signed in blue biro by all four members of the group selling for £5,000.

Rare Beatles Autographs Obtained in India Sell for £3,600
A particularly unusual set of Beatles autographs obtained in India in 1966 realised £3,600.
The signatures of Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison and John Lennon appeared on Hotel Oberoi Intercontinental stationery, with McCartney adding the inscription “To Bushy from the Beatles”.

Rare Stereo Please Please Me Black & Gold Pressing Makes £3,400
Rare Beatles vinyl also performed strongly, led by an original 1963 UK stereo pressing of Please Please Me on the famous black and gold Parlophone label.
The highly collectable pressing featured the early Dick James publishing credits and sold for £3,400.

Low Number Beatles White Album No. 0000108 Sells for £3,200
A remarkably low-numbered original UK copy of The Beatles White Album, numbered just 0000108, realised £3,200.
The original top-loading pressing retained its poster and photographs and attracted strong bidding despite the records showing considerable signs of use.

Archive-Condition Mono White Album Also Reaches £3,200
At the opposite end of the condition spectrum, a superb complete UK mono White Album also achieved £3,200.
The copy retained its four photographs, poster, black inner sleeves and wide-spine top-loading sleeve, with both records and sleeve graded EX+.

Unique Around The Beatles Television Acetates Sell for £2,600
A fascinating pair of Associated-Rediffusion acetates containing the original recording from the 1964 television special Around The Beatles sold for £2,600.
The programme was never officially released in this form and the discs were described as the only known examples.

John Lennon's Kenwood Fridge Freezer Sells for £2,000
One of the most unusual pieces in the auction was a Westinghouse fridge freezer originally used by John Lennon at his Kenwood home.
The appliance was acquired shortly after Lennon sold the property and remained with the same owner for more than five decades.

John Lennon & Yoko Ono Happy Xmas Abbey Road Acetate Makes £1,900
A hand-cut Abbey Road acetate of Happy Xmas (War Is Over), numbered 42 of just 50, sold for £1,900.
The limited edition acetate was produced for the recording's 50th anniversary and accompanied by documentation from Sean Ono Lennon.

Further Beatles Auction Results
Other notable results included a complete Beatles autograph set on a vintage chequebook holder at £1,900, a Paul McCartney 80-single wooden box set at £1,800, an original UK Help! quad poster at £1,700, and a John Lennon The Beatles Years lyric portfolio at £1,600.
The sale demonstrated continued demand across the Beatles collecting market, from early pressings and acetates to autographs, photographs, posters and objects with direct connections to the lives and careers of the group.
