David Bowie's First Ever Recording Up For Auction

An extremely rare tape, found languishing in a loft is expected to sell for £10,000 when it goes under the hammer in September. Featuring the first ever studio recording of David Bowie (David Jones), with the 16 year old as lead vocalist for The Konrads, the unreleased tape is part of a treasure trove of memorabilia being sold by former Konrads drummer David Hadfield.

Omega Auctions are delighted to be working with Jen Hughes PR on “RocknRoll Auction for Deaf Awareness.” Now in its third year, this years theme “signed lyrics and scripts”. The full hammer price will go to the deaf community. Donations have already been received from Dave Stewart (Eurythmics), Steve Hackett (Genesis), Dave Paiche (Toto), Vivienne Westwood, Armando Gallo (Journalist/Author), James Taylor, Joanna Lumley, Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs (Oasis), Annie Lennox (Eurythmics).
