Hard Rock & Heavy Metal

Hard Rock & Heavy Metal

Let’s plug it in at turn it up to 11! There are many rockers out there who want their ears melted, bones somewhat shook, hair singed and who generally want to be blasted out of their seats! We are, of course talking about Heavy Rock and Metal in all its guises, New Wave Of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), Doom, Thrash, Hardcore, Speed, Stoner, Gothic and Black Metal to name just a few…

Record collectors of such manic sounds are large in number, the music isn’t just raucous; it can be extremely expressive with the artists who create this music often extremely skilled – these guys and girls certainly know how to put on a show!

Artists who have generated a cult following from the ‘birth’ of Heavy Rock and Metal from the end of the 60s have valuable records: Black Sabbath, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, Scorpions, Rush, Thin Lizzy, ZZ Top, Rainbow, Uriah Heep, The Ramones, Kiss, Van Halen, Judas Priest, Iron Maiden, Journey, Kiss and Nazareth are all key artists.

From the 1970s we have the NWOBHM movement which provided us with prominent acts such as Diamond Head, Venom, Samson, Raven, Motörhead, Hell, Holocaust, Def Leppard and Angel Witch.

As we turn to the 80s and onwards, bands by the likes of Burzum, Antrhax, Slayer, Kreator, Saxon, Death, Testament, Accept, Skid Row, Candlemass, Quiet Riot, Helloween and Annihilator have dedicated followers and collectors.

If your vinyl collection contains such artists make sure to get in touch, we’ll be able to put some extreme lots together!
