Electro, Dance & Hip Hop

Electro, Dance & Hip Hop

From the streets of the Bronx in the late 70s came Hip Hop, the scene in Detroit from the middle part of the 80s was finely tuned by Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills and Mike Banks and more recently parties featuring Daft Punk, Skrillex and David Guetta have all served people wanting to stay out all night and dance!

We use the term ‘Dance’ music very broadly, perhaps you fancy the ambient techno of Aphex Twin, the turntablism of DJ Shadow, Cut Chemist or DJ Krush, some Drum And Bass from Roni Size or DJ Fresh, or maybe you want to have a rave to some G-Funk, Balearic Trance, Minimal House, New Rave, Darkstep or Italo Disco – no matter what you’re into there are some extremely valuable records within this broad genre; remember, Discogs founder Kevin Lewandowski originally created the database for cataloguing electronic music.

Some key artists that we’re looking for include The Beastie Boys, Eminem, Nas, Dr. Dre, Afrika Bambaataa, Clarence G, Run DMC, A Tribe Called Quest, NWA, Cypress Hill, Fugees, Wu-Tang Clan, Mos Def, Jamiroquai, Lady Gaga, Orbital, Carl Cox, Kevin Saunderson, Sebastian Tellier, Autechre, Drexciya, James Pennington, Urban Tribe, Kraftwerk, Madonna, Massive Attack, Portishead, Gorillaz, Boards Of Canada, Bjork, Fatboy Slim, Jay Z, Kanye West…

We will be happy to see a collection of any size featuring any Hip Hop, Electro or Dance artists – we can advise you on how may be best to sell the records, this may mean small lots of Detroit Techno, Trip Hop or Tech Trance or you may have lots containing Latin House, Speedcore, Dancehall, Gabber, Chicago House or even Electro Hop!
